Surpassing the Brazilian community, Venezuelans were the largest group of foreign prospective land buyers in Miami last month, according to data on web visitors from the Miami Association of Realtors’ site.
Venezuelans made 114,338 visits to the website, a 47 percent jump year-over-year. Last September, they took sixth place. The other top international consumers hunting for real estate on Miamire.com are, in order, Canada, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Lithuania, France, Italy, Spain and the Philippines.
Not including Florida, California residents scoured Miamire.com last month more than any those from any other states. Behind California were Texas, New York, Georgia and Illinois, the release said. — Mark Maurer
